Privacy and Data
Last updated: 2026-11-05.
You shouldn’t have to trade data to read about staying close to someone far away. Here’s the whole picture in one table, with details below.
| Data | Collected? |
|---|---|
| Cookies | No |
| Analytics or ad trackers | No |
| Forms, sign-ups or accounts | No |
| Hosting request logs | Yes, processed by our hosting provider |
| Emails you send us | Yes, kept only to reply |
About the logs
Like nearly every website, ours runs on a hosting provider that processes standard request logs: IP address, browser details, time and the page requested. They’re used to deliver pages and keep the site secure, not to identify readers.
About your emails
If you write to editorial@couplecompassnotes.com, we keep the message and your address until we’ve replied and dealt with anything that follows. Please don’t send passports, visa documents or case numbers. We don’t need them and would rather not hold them.
We don’t sell data
Nobody buys reader data from us, because it isn’t for sale. We also don’t rent it out or pass it to marketers.
Adults only (18+)
The site is meant for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and will delete messages we discover were sent by a minor.
Rights you may have
Some US states let residents ask a business to disclose, correct or delete personal information. You can ask us by email, wherever you live, and we’ll respond.
Links elsewhere
Airline, gadget and government sites we link to have their own privacy policies.
Before anything new is added
This page will be updated, and the date above changed, before any analytics or other data collection is added.
